God’s Way of Salvation

GOD’S WAY OF SALVATION

RECOGNIZING YOUR FAILURE

REALIZING YOUR POSITION

CONFESSING YOUR NEED

REPENTING OF SIN

RECEIVING CHRIST

God’s Way of salvation is a Person. God’s word in its entirety points to a Person, whose name is WORD (John 1:1). So the Word of God (the written one “scripture means that which is written”) reveals THE WORD (CHRIST -Anointed) Who became flesh, He is Jesus [JESUS means Saviour, who saves us from sin (root cause) and sins, the effects of sin (error, mistake, transgression, iniquity etc.)]. He was born (identified) in human race or manifested ( ie. He was even before the world was) Himself to us to reveal us that He is the Cause or the Creator of all that exist (effects). Without Him nothing exists. Everything that exists is by Him, for Him and through Him.

  • GOD’S WORD POINTS TO JESUS as the only WAY to salvation – “Salvation is found in no-one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12.

  • Jesus said, “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No-one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6

RECOGNIZING YOUR FAILURE:

  • This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Him as a sacrifice of atonement (to bring us at-onement with God), through faith in his blood.” Romans 3:22-25.

REALIZING YOUR POSITION:

TOP

  • “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.Romans 8:1-4

  • “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls (Jesus Christ is the only true Shepherd, Good Shepherd, Great Shepherd and the Chief Shepherd we awaits) . 1Peter 2:24-25

CONFESSING YOUR NEED:

  • If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.” 1John 1:8-10

  • “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.Romans 6:23

REPENTING OF SIN:

  • "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ [mainly applied to Jews and Israel who have not accepted Jesus as Christ (Messiah)] for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift (singular, not plural gifts) of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off--for all whom the Lord our God will call." Acts 2:28-29

  • Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you--even Jesus.” Acts 3:19-20

  • “I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.” Acts 26:20

  • “That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."” Romans 10:9-13

  • “He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, (it was told to one who came trembling, repented and having a contrite and penitent heart) and you will be saved--you and your household."” Acts 16:30-31

RECEIVING CHRIST:

  • “Yet to all who received Him (Jesus Christ), to those who believed in His (Jesus Christ) name, He (God) gave the right to become (you were born of a man and woman ie. by the will of man; now you have to become a Christian or born again into God’s family) children of God.” John 1:12

  • “"Look, the Lamb of God (Jesus Christ the only perfect sacrifice accepted by God), who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29

  • “"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. (Jesus Christ and rejected the call of God, the mercy of almighty God, the grace of the loving God and the favor extended to him with loving kindness)” John 3:16-18

  • “Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” John 20:30-31

  • “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's graceEphesians 1:7

  • “When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.” Colossians 2:13-14
